Dr. Jos Schijns


Jos Schijns is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology (MST) of the Open University in the Netherlands. Before he joined the Open University he taught courses in direct marketing, relationship marketing, and B2B marketing at Maastricht University. Also, for over 14 years, he was in charge of the Cendris Research Center, a subsidiary of the Royal Dutch Postal Services (PostNL).

Jos Schijns earned his PhD at Maastricht University, the Netherlands. He earned his MBA at Webster University (‘Academic Honors') in Leiden.

His research interests include multichannel management, customer loyalty, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty programs, customer publishing, relationship marketing, and direct marketing.

His work has been published in many highly ranked academic journals such as the Journal of Direct Marketing, Journal of Targeting, Measurement and Analysis for Marketing, the International Journal of Business Research, and the Journal of International Business and Economics.
